Le Pavoniere

The Pavoniere swimming facilities are inside the Cascine Park, at its eastern end towards Piazza Vittorio Veneto. The Pavoniere pool opens in summer, and this is also a good place to hire bicycles and roller skates. This unusual pool, surrounded by parkland, takes its name from the two pavoniere: small Neoclassical temple-shaped buildings that were originally ornamental aviaries in the park.
