Jewish Monumental Cemetery

The Monumental Jewish Cemetery was established in 1777 and remained in use until 1870. A high perimeter wall encloses an important cultural treasure of funerary chapels and monuments, including a striking Egyptian pyramid-shaped tomb. The neo-Egyptian and neo-Renaissance funerary chapels are also of interest. It is an evocative place that reflects Jewish cultural life.
